Join us for the opening reception for PORTALS: Traversing Black Continuums. Hear from the collaborating artists about their individual artistic practices and collective vision and preview upcoming interactive workshops where the public can develop pieces that will be added to the installation. We invite visitors to bring items to contribute to the community altar that commemorate a personal memory of candy, mirrors, water vessels, and/or bags. Light refreshments will be served.
